Akabeko Painting Workshop

Akabeko, the legendary red cow from Aizu has become one of Fukushima's most famous crafts and symbol. Do you want to make your own Akabeko to take home? Then look no further! Let's enjoy painting Akabeko together, what better way to kill time while you wait for the Aizu Festival to begin! We plant to hold this event on the first day of the 3 day Aizu Festival. The first day holds an evening Lantern procession and Bandai-san Odori (dance). Please enjoy the workshop in the afternoon, and the festival in the evening!


Time: 2PM

Where: second floor of the store named Akabeko Land in Aizuwakamatsu.

Cost: ¥1,320

Capacity: 15 spots

Akabeko Land is accessible by bus (9 mins) from Aizuwakamatsu station
